Description
On the water is a sense of freedom, calmness or a respite from daily life. Whatever the draw of being on the water is for you it can be powerful. This original oil painting portrays the end to a day of being on the water. A boat filled beach scene with late day shadows stretching across the sand.
Overturned boats fill the beach as two men have just returned from the water and are turning the dinghy upside down. A common scene along the waters edge. Anywhere there is an anchorage just offshore you will find the small boats people use to get back and forth.
Sometimes these dinghy’s will fill small docks or in this case, a sandy beach. Overturning them keeps the rain from filling up the small boats.
