Description
This moonlight oil painting is a large original oil of the Black Hall River in Old Lyme, CT looking towards the Lynde Light and Breakwater Lighthouse in Old Saybrook, Connecticut. This is located near the mouth of the Connecticut River at Long Island Sound. There are many rivers that flow through marshes and into the Sound that are fantastic for kayaking. Many shorebirds can be seen here along with other wildlife.
It took me a long time to paint this 4 foot square oil painting on canvas because it is so large. But I am happy with this nighttime view of the moon and the clouds and the lighthouses shining in the moonlight.
