Description
Maine landscape paintings is the theme for this latest original oil painting. I love to travel to the coast of Maine every few years. The scenery is beautiful and I love to paint there.
“The Guest Cabin” sits on the shore and is a tiny one room overnight cabin. What struck me was how cute the cabin was with it’s bright orange trim and flowers across the front. I just had to paint the scene so I decided on a small “alla prima” oil painting done wet into wet style of painting.
Living by the sea year round has inspired P.J. to paint the rolling surf, shorebirds, and the ever changing skies found along the coastline. P.J. spends her time in Connecticut on the shores of Long Island Sound and during the winter months she can be found painting along the southeastern coast of Florida.
