Description
This 18″ x 24″ original oil painting on canvas has a beautiful glow of mauve and blue colors throughout this scene of two seagulls resting on the beach. As you can see this is two shorebirds with one of the birds resting with his beak tucked under his wing. My inspiration for this seascape painting came from a walk along the beach after a storm and these 2 seagulls seemed to be resting just as you see them in this painting.

Living by the sea year round has inspired P.J. to paint the rolling surf, shorebirds, and the ever changing skies found along the coastline. P.J. spends her time in Connecticut on the shores of Long Island Sound and during the winter months she can be found painting along the southeastern coast of Florida.
